We love prayer. Jesus taught his followers to pray. The Bible has a lot to say about prayer, which is talking to God and listening to God.

Prayer is a powerful way of expressing our trust in God, our love for him. It is also how we can ask for his help, for ourselves and for other people.

As we pray, we become closer to God.

The Bible says:

“Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart.”

(Philippians 4:6)

We pray in every service. Many of us make a habit of praying each day, or at many times during the day. It can be formal, or completely informal, just like a child talking to a parent.

We also pray for anyone who would like to be prayed for. If you would like us to pray for you, or for someone known to you, please email prayer@gkchurch.org or call Shona on 01580 211739, and we will be sure to include that in our prayers.

If you would like to be prayed for in person, please let us know, and the Vicar or another approved member of the church would be more than happy to pray with you.

Once a month, on a Wednesday evening, we hold a prayer meeting in the church from 7-8pm, to pray for the community, the church family, and other needs around the world. Everyone is welcome to join.
