Pentecost People - Darkness, fear him

The Spirit works through us, through our prayers, through our own struggles for holiness and unity, our refusal to obey rulers when they tell us to disobey God. The Spirit works through us as we name the little lords who seek to dominate, to divide and to draw eyes away from love. Pentecost People - The Spirit of Truth

Our theme this Pentecost period is the Holy Spirit. The person and the power. The comfort and the challenge. The fountain of water and the flame of fire.

A great multitude from every nation

He set off on the road to the cross and the empty tomb and he said, if you want to know what life in all its fullness looks like, come and follow me. Pick up your cross, live distinctively, make the sacrifice, be my disciple.

Easter Day

I don’t wish you a Happy Easter today. I wish you instead a hopeful Easter, a hope-filled Easter. Not because everything’s alright - because there’s so much that isn’t ‘alright’, and not because there’s a nice neat answer to our problems, but because Jesus is alive and at work in the messy, muddled thing that we call life.
